Any Biscuits will be ready to start riding again in late June/early July. He has been on a period of box rest and has just started walking again. He went lame on his near fore fetlock after his last race. It was a bit of a grumbly injury which my vet and I believe was just from being a racehorse and being in training all the time which was what was causing the problem and as such he’s been retired.
He’s now sound and we believe that he’d be a perfectly fine, sound active horse doing something a little less strenuous than training hard every single day. He’s a very good ride, he’s never cold backed. You could take him anywhere; he’s not scared of anything. He’d go out on his own, he’s a very independent thinking horse.
He jumps well, he is however quite keen. We ride him in a ring bit but you could obviously ride him in something stronger and if you start feeding him something different and he was on a slightly different training programme then I’m sure that would help him to be a bit less head strong. He’s a complete saint, he’s a joy to have in the yard, we love him to pieces, and he will without doubt be a great horse to have as a riding horse.
Price negotiable to the perfect home for this lovely horse.
