Broxi is a lovely gelding who was rated as high as 98 as a 2year old! He’s a once in a lifetime type gelding which is why this is such a difficult sale. Broxi ran for us a couple of times and then we retired him/bought him home in the pretense of keeping him forever but unfortunately due to vet bills from one of our other ottbs we are struggling to keep this lad. This horse sounds too good to be true but trust me he is a true unicorn 

Even though Broxi is a unicorn, he’s not for a novice as he has only been out of racing for a few months. He is green and needs a home to put time and education into him. He truly is the best and would make someone very happy! 

Handling on the ground…

Broxi is a true gent to handle on the ground, brilliant for the farrier, dentist, vet, loads perfectly and stands all day to be clipped. He’s an absolute darling, never bolshy or silly. The most he will do is jig jog next to you but he will not go anywhere! I have to say, he is the most well behaved horse I’ve ever come across, not a bad bone is body. He’s a gorgeous gelding who’s always receiving compliments! Broxi will turn out with anything, he’s currently turned out 24/7 in a mixed herd! But he will live in or out and has been turned out to babysit youngstock with no problems.

Hacking…

All horses have their moments and can’t be classed as completely bombproof but this lad is as close to bombproof that you’ll get! He will hack alone or in company, lead or in behind. You can canter Broxi in open spaces without him becoming strong or hot! Broxi has been used to lead the youngsters up the gallop for the first time so he has a very sensible head on his shoulders. 

The most he’ll do is jig jog and trot sideways, he does not do this in a nasty or silly way he’s just got a bit of character and wouldn’t harm a fly but I feel this could knock a novice riders confidence.

Schooling….

This is where he’ll need work… Broxi has 3 lovely paces in the school! We currently don’t have access to a ménage so he is very green in the school and will need an experienced and knowledgeable rider to bring him on. He’s brilliant to long rein/lunge. There’s been a couple of instances where he has dropped his shoulder if there’s another horse in the menage with him but this has only happened a couple of times when he was in racing… and he’s usually absolutely fine. I’m sure with hard work put into him he’ll make a really lovely alrounder.

Broxi is snaffle mouthed and ridden in a cavesson bridle but we do ride him without a noseband. I really do think this lad can be ridden bitless!

Up to date with Vaccines, fully shod, teeth were checked last week. 

He will come with his bridle/bit, a few turnout rugs. He won’t come with a saddle as it’s one of my other ottbs saddle that I only had fitted to him for the time being so I do need to keep it.

We are absolutely devastated and a 5 ⭐️ home is a must. Please no time wasters as this sale is hard enough as it is.
