This horse has been a pleasure in the 18 months I’ve had him. We are his first proper home since retiring from racing and he’s had time to learn to be a family horse.
Lots of hacking, a few forest rides, a bit of cross country, two days trail hunting, a lesson over coloured poles, he’s been brilliant at it all. In the right hands, he could learn so much more and become a really super little riding horse.
He's good to load, clip, shoe, with vet and in traffic. Really willing with new experiences - water, small jumps, a bit of light schooling (we no longer have the facilities so has not done this for some months). He was super fun to hunt and came away from the other horses with no fuss when it was time to go home.
I currently have him living out with shelter - we had some problems stabling him which I’m happy to disclose.
He needs turn out with shelter, and most importantly he needs horse friends for company and experienced owner who knows the needs of Thoroughbreds. While he is 95% angelic, the other 5% keeps you on your toes, his rider needs to be competent and confident just for those moments.nI am keeping the price low, because I want to be able to choose the most suitable home for him. Big budgets are for finished horses, and he’s not there yet.
He’s been a mother daughter share, but daughter is going away to university. We no longer have proper access to grass, so the fairest thing for him is to find a new fabulous home.
Loads of photos and short videos to share.
