I've come to the difficult decision that For Everyone (Smudge) needs and deserves a new, more active home.

He finished his racing career in August '25 having fallen out of love with the game, and on the basis it was thought he'd appreciate a much quieter life, came to me in November.

As he's gained weight, relaxed & become settled it's become very clear that he actually has lots more to give, and needs more work/input than I have time to give. My commitment is to my other TB Fred (who's just 6) and takes up most of my time - we'd never intended a 2nd who'd require the same levels of work. This just hasn't quite worked out the way we'd hoped through no-one's fault & Smudge deserves more than to just be a companion.

He's clever, fit and well and wants more than what is currently a very part time job.

I feel he needs a confident, experienced, knowledgeable home where his person has time to gently lead him into a less intense but still active and fun new life as a ridden horse.

He's essentially had around 6 months with me being built up, lightly hacked and gently schooled. He's ready now to begin his proper re-education in the right hands. He's a bright, biddable horse with a typically quick TB brain and will thrive with a confident, capable, quiet jockey.

He retired sound and remains so. Loves his turn-out and holds onto his shoes on 4 good feet & a 6 week cycle. He's looking great (photo is 2 weeks ago) on an uncomplicated diet of mostly chaff.

Loves attention and is quiet as a lamb for cuddles/scratches in the stable.

Good for the farrier, vet, physio etc. Rugs and some tack also available.
